Just International

AN APPEAL

Dear friend,

Peace.
Hope this note finds you in good health and in good spirits.
Some of you may be aware of the online bulletin called Countercurrents. It publishes, on a daily basis, analytical articles on various international issues. It is a principled advocate of global justice and human dignity.
Countercurrents has been a major source of information and analysis for JUST. It is through Countercurrents that we have managed to sustain our own Commentary and our own dispatches on global concerns.
The bulletin run by volunteers needs financial support. It has been operating on a shoe-string budget. Binu Mathews from Kerala, India, is the leading light behind Countercurrents. He has now decided to give up his job and concentrate upon the bulletin. It is a huge sacrifice on his part.
I know Binu and I am impressed by his dedication and commitment to the cause of justice. I have been giving a little bit of support on a personal basis to Countercurrents for many years. It is my sincere hope that you will also support this noble endeavor.
All that you have to do is to set aside $50 U.S. dollars a year. You can send your donation direct to Countercurrents via the following options:

It would be wonderful if you can do it regularly.
You would be supporting one of the very few media voices from Asia that is struggling for a better world. Countercurrents does not accept help from big corporations or from governments. It has managed to survive all these years through small donations from ordinary people like you and me.
If and when you respond to this appeal, or if you have any further inquiries, please notify Hassanal, the JUST Program Coordinator, at hassanal@just-international.org.
Many thanks for reading this Appeal.
In solidarity,

Chandra Muzaffar
